Friolento - Destroy All Bad Luck

Stoic warrior poetry from the Pacific Northwest. Friolento means a sensitivity to the cold, but a playthrough of this album will get you absolutely hot. They have existed in other forms and gone by other names over the years, but a common thread of fellowship and collaborative catharsis has marked the passage of their time together. This latest album from the Vancouver trio is an exploration of death and loss. Their live show is as welcoming as it is intimidating; ranging from soft moments of vulnerability to chaotic tantrums that are almost spiritual and transformative at their peak. After a charged appearance at Zegema Beach Records Festival 2019, they completed a run of dates through Western Canada this fall. If you have the chance to witness them clearing negative energy from a room near you, it is not to be missed.
